VISIONARY    \vĭzh′ə-nĕr′ē\

adjective  1. thinking about or planning the future with imagination or wisdom, “a visionary leader”;  2. relating to or having the ability to see visions in a dream or trance, or as a supernatural apparition. “visionary dreams”; noun  1. a person with original ideas about what the future will or could be like [from Latin visio “sight”, from videre “to see”]

What do the Esterhazy family, Archduke Rudolph, Nadezhda von Meck and Vincent Meyer have in common?  They were all visionaries  –  the patrons of Haydn, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky and Ligeti respectively  –  without whom many of humanity's favourite and defining works would never have been written.

PLEXUS is on a mission to provide a high level public forum for composers, performers, and artistic visionaries of all disciplines to assist in their quest to create new works and engage in collaborative projects for audiences to be moved by, challenged by, nourished by.

You can be part of our vision in many ways.  Commission a piece based on your favourite text and dedicate it to someone special.  Support a performer.  Invent your own collaborative idea and we'll see where it takes us all.  You can make the difference between potential and fruition.  You can weave your own threads into Australia's cultural fabric.
