PLEXUS launches at fortyfivedownstairs with the world premieres of five Australian composers, the Australian premiere of a film by New York film-maker Natalya Cohen, and the talents of two guest artists, acclaimed soprano Judith Dodsworth, and award-winning cellist Michelle Wood.
The five world premieres in this programme are from five very distinctive composers at various stages in their careers, and represent a lavish smorgasbord of melody, style, and diverse inspiration.
Presented alongside is the 1932 Trio by Khachaturian, one of the first works written for the combination, and Jennifer Higdon’s DASH, one of the most popular works commissioned by the Verdehr Trio.
Join us for this one of a kind epic event, as PLEXUS blasts off on its landmark journey of creative discovery.
And everyone is invited for celebratory drinks and supper in the venue after the performance!
